Yuvati Vikas Manch

Yuvati vikas Manch is established in the year January, 2005. The prime aim of this Manch is to make confident to the college girls. It was need of the time to make students take initiative in various activities of the college to make competent to tackle with the various problems in the life; to make them social, well set in the life. The Manch makes the female students to take active participation and initiative in organizing the programs. From 2005 the Manch is taking efforts to develop the female student force in the college through various programs.

Lectures: It is taking efforts to make the female students feel self- confident and self-dependent through the lectures of eminent personalities.

Competitions: Folk Art Competition, Folk Song Competition, Essay Writing Competition, Retro Look Competition etc. that enhance their skill. It is helpful to hunt the talent in them and to give scope to their talents.

Display of Wallpaper: The female students are guided to collect the material for the given subject through library and by surfing the net.

Celebration of World Women’s Day: Every year the Manch arranges World Women’s Day through arrangement of lecture, display wallpapers and also through blackboard writing on the main board in the college building.

Celebration of Birth Anniversary of Savitribai Phule: Every year on 3rd January the Manch celebrates Birth Anniversary of Savitribai Phule. This day is meant for the students to get encouragement and inspiration of Savitirbai Phule’s work. On this day the Manch organizes Worship of image of Savitribai Phule, group discussion and lecture of eminent personality and also students’ views on this subject. 

Workshops: Preparation of Candles, Preparation of Dolls, Flower arrangement etc.

Female Parents’ Meeting: The Manch organizes female parents’ meeting including mothers, aunts and elder sisters of the girls in the college through the programs like Haladi-kumkum. The aim of this program is to make the female parents acquaint with the college atmosphere where their wards are learning. It also helps to create healthy rapport between the students and the teachers.

Judo Training- Yuvati Vikas Manch has organized ten days Judo training program for empowering girl students. Miss Pooja Kolekar trained the students for self defense. More than 80 girls got benefit of it.

Celebration of International Women’s Day (Sunday, 8th March 2020) in Sadashivarao Mandlik Mahavidyalaya, Murgud

Yuvati Vikas Manch in Sadashivarao Mandlik Mahavidyalaya, Murgud celebrated World Women’s Day by organizing following programs in the college:

  1. Retro Look Competition: Yuvati Vikas Manch organized Retro Look Competition in which the students presented look of the female actress either from film or from T.V. serial with their exact look and perfect costume. They were judged by two judges according to their entry on the stage, their presentation either through dance or dialogue, their answers to the judges’ questions about the look and audience response. Based on these criteria following students were declared the winners:
  2. a) Miss Triveni Torase (B.Com.II)- First
  3. b) Miss Pooja Kolekar (B.Sc. III)- Second
  4. c) Miss Aishwarya Bhosale (B.Sc.II)- Third
  5. Odd Look Competition: Yuvati Vikas Manch organized Odd Look Competition in which the students presented odd and whimsical looks.  Miss Poja Kolekar stood first in it by presenting ghost look.
  6. Twins Look Competition: Yuvati Vikas Manch organized Twins Look Competition in which the students came in Twins form with exact costumes. Shri Suyog Kumbhar( B.Sc.II) and Shri Hanan Inamdar (B.Sc. II) got first prize. They presented twins look but one with handicapped form.
  7. Traditional Looks : The Manch motivated the female students to appear in traditional look with Maharashtrian look
  8. Sari Day: Yuvati Vikas Manch organized Odd Look Competition in which the students presented
  9. Display of Wallpaper: Yuvati Vikas Manch displayed a wallpaper about “Successful Indian English Women Writers “. Miss Ashwini Lohar (B.A.III) and Miss Maya Done (B.A.III) prepared the wallpaper.
  10. Giving badges to all the Female employees and female students spreading the message- Happy Women’s Day
  11. Guidance to Female Students: Dr. Mrs. Manik Shantinath Patil addressed the female students in the college about “Present Situation of Women and Responsibilities”. She guided them about current affairs and how the girls should behave in such situations. She also presented the challenges and difficulties before them. Dr. Miss Jayashri Kamble welcomed and introduced the program and Miss Ashwini Lohar and Miss Maya Done did the compeering of the program.
