Aim of NCC

The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

1) To Create a Human Resource of Organized, trained and Motivated Youth.

2) To Provide Leadership in all Walks of life and be Always Available for the Service of the Nation.

3) To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces.

4) To Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure and Ideals of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country

Motto of NCC

The need for having motto for the Corps was discussed in the 11th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 11 Aug 1978. The mottos suggested were

“Duty and Discipline”;

“Duty, Unity and Discipline”;

“Duty and Unity”;

“Unity and Discipline”.

The final decision for selection of “Unity and Discipline” as motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.

INSTITUTIONAL TRAINING

Institutional Training being conducted in the Colleges is the principal means of training in the NCC. Its aim is to nurture core values, enhance awareness and give exposure to basic military skills and knowledge. The cadets must grasp the importance of this training and participate actively.

PRINCIPLES OF TRAINING 

  1. Senior Division (SD)/ Senior Wing (SW) will be fore THREE years. 
  2. Separate syllabi for SD/SW.
  3. Modified syllabus for professional educational institutes of repute to encourage enrolment of cadets.
  4. Revised curriculum for training in a military in a military environment with greater emphasis of soft skill development, awareness of social responsibilities and adventure and sports.
  5. Uniformity in syllabus for boys and girls.
  6. Common Syllabus for all three wings to be approximately 60 to 70% and Specialized Service Syllabus training will 30 to 40%.
  7. Emphasis on practical training.
  8. Conduct of periodic composite training ensuring continuity for better learning assimilation and its application.

Common subjects will comprise about 70% of the periods and Specialized Service Subjects will be 30%. See below the breakdowns:

SPECIAL NOTE: No cadet from other college and other battalion is allowed to enter in the college NCC unless the cadet brings his/her authentic transfer letter with Online Enrolment Updates from the previous battalion only. The transfer is null on the level of any ANO of previous college. If the transfer documents are pending of the concerned cadet, he/she is NOT allowed to attend any parade or lecture conducted by this college.  If the cadet does not fulfill these conditions no request or complain by the cadet/parent/previous ANO will be entertained by this college or ANO.  Similarly, neither this college or the ANO will be responsible for further losses regarding NCC of the concerned cadet if the transfer fails.

NCC was the most awaited dream for our college. Since, our founder late Hon. Sadashivraoji Mandlik had devoted himself to serve the nation, his dream came true as we are allotted 5 Maharashtra Bn NCC SD/SW platoon of 56 strength with effect from 11 September, 2019.  The NCC Department regularly takes its activities such as social awareness programmes, regular parades, conduct lectures regularly. The department also celebrates all national festival with great pomp and respect.
