The department of sports is the matter of pride for our college.the student participate in sport meet at different levels such as inter zonal University, State& National.we have established monopoly in the athletics.our sports persons are strong and active&have brought many national awards&prizes to the college. The department always provides various facilities to the sportspersons. Sportspersons are gatting placement in the police & military services.we feel pride of this department because it has won the general championship in the athletic meet twice. Facilities&financial assistance in S.T. passes, Concession in exam. fees and admission. Sports kits. Book .Book bank facility facility Allowance for inters collegiate university sports activities. Coaching provided for outdoor games.Good nutrition provided during practice &competitions.prizes for sportsperson for their excellent performances

  • Number of sportspersons of the college here played zonal,interzonal and Ashwamedh competition judo,wrestling,volleyball,atheletic etc
  • Mr.Dyanandev patil,sportsperson of the college have participated in national inter university cross-country competion for consecutively 3yrse i.e.1999to2001.
  • Abhijit bhatkade (2000-09)both are fastest runner shivaji university
  • Poonam yerudkar and sheha patankar were played Ashwamedh and south-west volleyboll zonal computation for consecutive 3years i.e 2006 to 09 from shivaji university
  • College was runner up inter zonal athletic competition for the yers 2000-01 to 2002
  • College sportsperson Amit Nimbalkar has played national competion of power lifting for three times in a year 2009-10. he has been selected for international junior championship /Asian power lifting competition to be held in Magnolia(china)during 1 to 5th may 2010.
  • College general championship of kolhapur zone Athletic competition for consecutive 3yers i.e 200 to2003.
  • College was runner up of athletic general championship for consecutive 4yers i.e 2006 to10

 Highlights for Women Participation and Achievement in Sports

1.     Miss Mangal Patil won the Women General Championship of Kolhapur Zonal Athletics Meet in the year 2004-2005; she also played the open National Competition in the same year.

2.     Miss Rupali Patil won the General Championship of Kolhapur Zonal Athletics Meet in the year 2004-2005. 

3.     Miss Rupali Patil and Miss Mangal Patil participated in OpenState level Women Boxing Competition in the year 2005-2006.

4.     Miss Punam Yerudakar and Miss Sneha Patanakar participated in the Ashwamedha and South-West Zonal Competitions for continuous three years 2006-07 to 2008-09.

5.     Miss Rajashri Sitarm Patil played All India Inter-University Wrestling Competition in the year 2007-2008 which was the first such meet.

6.     Miss Kavita Nikam was selected for All India Inter-University Hammer Throw Competition in the year 2006-2007.

7.     The Women Team of the college achieved third rank in the zonal volleyball meet in the year 2006-2007.

8.     The same team achieved third rank of in the inter- zonal volleyball meet in the same year.

9.     Miss Rupali Patil was selected for Short put competition for Ashwamedha for the year 2005-2006, 2007-2008, 2008-2009 in which she won Bronz medal in the year 2007-2008 and Silver medal in the year 2008-2009.

10.In the year 2008-2009 the Women Team of the college achieved runner up championship in the zonal and inter-zonal volleyball meet.

ü       Mr. Tushar Patil is an outstanding stunts man who has drove bike 25 kms by lying straight on it with

folded hands. He dreams to record his stunts in Limca Book. The college is helping him in this work.

·         Mr. Dipak Kumbhar, student of B.A. III is the first ever sportsperson who is selected for half-Marathon  inter-university competition

 at international level of twenty-one Km.to be held at China from 12th August, 2011. Deepak is the first student of Shivaji

 University who is selected for inter-university Athletics Competition.

·         Mr. Sangram Shakar Shinde achieved first rank in the wrestling Competition organized by Shahu Co-operative Sugar Factory,

Kagal held on 8th Aug., 2011

·         Mr. Mansing Jayawant Shinde achieved third rank in the wrestling Competition organized by Shahu Co-operative Sugar Factory,

 Kagal on 8th Aug., 2011.

·         Mr. Dipak Kumbhar, student of B.A. III, the first ever sportsperson selected for half-Marathon  inter-university competition  at

 international level of twenty-one Km. held at China from 12th August, 2011 achieved eighth rank through participants of sixty countries.

Deepak is the first student of ShivajiUniversity who is selected for inter-university Athletics Competition.
